SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The health and well-being of our students, staff, and instructors are our primary concern.  We are taking extra precautions including:

  • Strict sanitizing of all equipment and classroom
  • Safe distancing of at least 6 feet per student
  • No shared equipment
  • No student to student skill practice

Note: If you are sick in any way, please DO NOT attend class. We will be turning away any students who display symptoms of illness. If you cannot make your class date for any reason, simply contact us and we will help you reschedule for no additional fee.

American Red Cross CPR & First Aid Classes
CPR and First Aid certification teaches participants how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. The course trains you how to give high-quality chest compressions, deliver ventilations, use an AED and provide basic first aid care.

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED

American Red Cross CPR and First Aid class meets OSHA workplace requirements and teaches you to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), care for conscious and unconscious choking and First Aid including burns; cuts; head, neck and back injuries and more.

Duration: 1 hour class time + 1.5 hours online = 2.5 hours total

Certification: 2 year American Red Cross certificate (issued same day)

Online Course: This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion.

This American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED certification class will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. This class meets OSHA/workplace requirements and meets the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

  • Adult, Child and Infant CPR
  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking
  • Basic First Aid including burns; cuts; head, neck and back injuries and more

Duration: 1.5 hour class time + 2.5 hours online = 4 hours total

Certification: 2 year American Red Cross certificate (issued same day)

Adult CPR/AED

Duration: 1.25 hour class time + 1.5 hours online = 3.75 hours total

Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED (Classroom Only)

This is a classroom only course, no online course is required. 

This instructor-led American Red Cross CPR certification class incorporates the latest science and teaches you how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age – adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). This class meets OSHA/workplace CPR requirements and meets the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is the recommended BLS class for MDs, RNs, EMTs, Dentists, Pharmacists, and all medical personnel. BLS certification meets the CPR requirements for EMT, nursing and medical students.

BLS - American Red Cross

American Red Cross BLS certification class is designed to train Healthcare Providers to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adult, child, and infant victims with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes.

Duration: This class is approximately 2.5 hours.

Certification: 2 year American Red Cross BLS certificate (issued same day)

Online Pre-course: This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The 2 hour online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion.

BLS Review - American Red Cross

The American Red Cross BLS review class is designed to give individuals the opportunity to review the course content within a formal class setting. The format optimizes a participant’s ability to successfully compete the knowledge and skill evaluation. To be eligible to participate in a review course, the participant must possess a current healthcare provider-level American Red Cross certificate (or equivalent). Those without a current BLS certificate may not participate in the review course option.

Duration: This class is approximately 2 hours.

BLS Challenge - American Red Cross

The purpose of the American Red Cross BLS challenge is to give individuals the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skill competency outside a formal class setting. Participants have sole responsibility to prepare for the knowledge and skill evaluations and the final written exam. Anyone is eligible to participate in a challenge, regardless of current certification.

Duration: The challenge takes about 30-40 minutes

Certification: 2 year American Red Cross BLS certificate (issued same day)

Manual: No manual is required.

BLS - American Heart Association

This American Heart Association BLS certification class is Instructor-led and teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

Duration: This class is approximately 3.5 hours.

Certification: 2 year American Heart Association BLS certificate (issued same day)

Manual: BLS Provider Manual is required for the class. Participants may bring their own manual or purchase an ebook online for $14.50.

BLS Skills Check - American Heart Association

American Heart Association HeartCode BLS is a blended learning course that combines eLearning (online course) followed by a hands-on skill session with an instructor.

This class has 2 parts:Part 1 – A self-paced series of online training modules (30 minutes – 2 hours)Part 2 – Skills practice & test session at our facility (up to 60 minutes)

Certification: 2 year American Heart Association BLS certificate (issued same day as your skills check)

Required Online Course: Prior to the skills check session, you MUST complete the online course thru the AHA eLearning website for $28.50 (payable to the AHA when you sign up for the online course). You will be required to show proof of completion (on your phone or printed) when you come to class. Those who have not completed the online course will not be able to continue in the class – NO EXCEPTIONS.

The American Heart Association BLS Renewal course is for currently certified AHA BLS Providers needing to renew their BLS certification. Those without a current AHA BLS certificate may not participate in the renewal.
